European Week of Prayer January 7-14 - 01/08/2007

The European Evangelical Alliance, established in 1846, organizes a European Week of Prayer each year in January.

This year the European Week of Prayer is January 7 through 14.

Each European country has their own Evangelical Alliance, so each country prepares prayer requests specific to its own country needs, as well as prayers requests for Europe and for the world.

Groups of Evangelical churches across each country, organized by the local ministerial, plan prayer meetings in a different locality each night of this week.  Check out the Alliance Evangélique Française. Our churches in the North Parisian suburbs always had great times of prayer.  It is also a great time for Christians in different evangelical churches, of different denominations and persuasions, can get to know each other and understand that the Body of Christ, Christ's Church, is much bigger, and understand the tremendous importance of our unity in Jesus-Christ.

Please pray for French Christians, German Christians, Christians from Greece, Romania, Poland, Estonia, and all the European countries where the Evangelical Alliance is organizing this week of prayer, that it might be an incredible week of seeing God work in the hearts of His people.  Check out the Evangelical Alliance in the U.K..  Pray also for each of these countries and the spiritually needy people of these counties, that the evangelical church might have a powerful spiritual impact on the society.

If you would like to pray for the needs in Europe this week, you can visit the websites below.  And once again, we thank you sincerely for your faithful prayers for us throughout the year as well as your thoughtful words of encouragement and generous gifts.  Your partnership is essential, so very important for the proclamation of the gospel in Europe.

The Evangelical Alliance was inaugurated in 1846.  The National Association of Evangelicals in the U.S. finds its origins in the European Evangelical Alliance.
